GHRP-2 is a synthetic hexapeptide that stimulates the pituitary gland to release growth hormone (GH). It belongs to the class of growth hormone secretagogues and mimics the action of ghrelin, the hunger hormone, by binding to the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) in the brain. This interaction promotes the pulsatile release of endogenous growth hormone without suppressing natural feedback loops.
